India's dairy sector stands as a cornerstone of its rural economy, supporting over 80 million farmers and making the country the world's largest milk producer. Despite this impressive scale, India's presence in the global dairy trade remains limited. The seminar seeks to address this imbalance and provide a vision for integrating the Indian dairy sector with international markets, practices, and standards.
In today's interconnected world, globalization is no longer a choice but a necessity for industries aiming for sustainable growth and international competitiveness. For the Indian dairy industry, globalization presents immense opportunitiesaccess to global markets, adoption of advanced technologies, improvement in quality standards, and increased income for farmers. At the same time, it also poses challenges in the form of stringent regulatory requirements, competition from global players, and the need for infrastructure upgradation and value addition.
This seminar will provide a vibrant platform for dialogue among dairy farmers, entrepreneurs, policy-makers, researchers, industry professionals, and international delegates. By focusing on these dimensions, the theme Globalization of Indian Dairy Industry underscores the urgent need for transformationfrom being a self-sufficient milk-producing nation to a global dairy powerhouse. The discussions and outcomes of the seminar will play a crucial role in shaping policies and initiatives that support this global vision for Indian dairy.
We extend a cordial invitation for your active participation and urge you to help disseminate information about this Seminar widely. Your engagement will contribute signicantly to the exchange of views and innovative ideas, enriching policy and decision-making processes within the sector.
